Netcoa meets our international startups who participated in Dubai, Las Vegas and Paris.
The 20th session of "The Business Table" was dedicated to: "Italy, a country of enlightened minds and scientists, confronts international operators. Testimonies of startups in global events in Dubai, Las Vegas and Paris."
A new session of JMI's innovative format, curated by Netcoa, "The Table of Enterprises," a monthly appointment for academia, research and culture, startups, businesses, and local governments, was held on Thursday, June 30. Participating in this 20th edition, the last one before the summer break, were representatives of some innovative startups associated with Netcoa, chosen from north to south according to the geo-economic model of open innovation devised, in order to have a more complete view of the issue at the national level: Marco Citro, Ceo and founder of the Campania-based Bio Building Block.
The theme of the proceedings, "Italy, a country of enlightened minds and scientists, confronts international operators. Testimonies of startups in the global events of Dubai, Las Vegas and Paris" was introduced by the Vice President of the Netcoa Association, which represents innovative companies and startups, Raffaello Dinacci, who focused on the chosen topic. The first speech was by Marco Citro, Ceo and founder of Bio Building Block, an innovative startup from Campania that spoke at Smau in Paris, a European contest dedicated entirely to the world of innovation, to interact with the French market. Bio Building Block has created unique technological solutions spanning several application areas: from the green tech sector, through the international patenting and testing in university research laboratories of the bio brick, an innovative construction module made of wood, of natural origin, that allows overcoming criticalities and limitations of traditional prefabricated methods; to digital healthcare where the company's mission is to improve the quality of life of patients with solid or hematological cancers through the design and development of a platform that allows the remote management of patients with cancer, significantly reducing management burdens on healthcare facilities and costs on the entire healthcare system.
These projects recall the values of sustainability, recycling, and social impact and have enabled the startup to obtain important recognition and attestation from international bodies
in the sector - for which Dr. Citro will soon travel to London to collect the coveted award from an international corporate, a testament to the high skills and competencies of Italian startups - and to win highly competitive calls dedicated to the valorization of intellectual property, set up by the Ministry of Economic Development and managed by the Invitalia Agency. Dr. Dinacci emphasizes how Bio Buiding Block was able to wisely take advantage of the tools made available by the Italian system and in particular those managed by Invitalia, of which Netcoa Association is a partner - SIS Sistema Invitalia Startup.
The Agency, in fact, promotes the birth and development of innovative companies, aiming to support their competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets, through, among other things, actions and measures aimed at the economic valorization of the results of the public and private research system. Science and technological innovation do not live in a world separate from society, but with different levels of expertise and interest, involve all figures and social actors in the development of scientific knowledge, its support, and its use.
